For our methodology, we used the total tuition amounts programs provided us for our Best Online Master’s in Cybersecurity Degrees in 2022 list. If schools did not provide a total tuition amount, we calculated total tuition by multiplying the minimum credits required to complete the program by the cost per credit amount. Costs per credit were either provided by schools or taken from the school’s program webpage.

Indiana University–Bloomington ranked No. 4 on Fortune’s list of the best online master’s in cybersecurity programs in 2022. The program requires applicants to submit a GRE score to qualify its online master’s in cybersecurity risk management degree program. However, waivers may be available for qualified candidates. Three letters of recommendation are required and international applicants are required to submit TOEFL scores. Last year, students accepted into this program had, on average, an undergraduate GPA of 3.3 and 10 years of work experience.

The graduation rate for students who started the program within three years of 2021 is 83%.

Applicants can also have any bachelor’s degree and two years of related work experience, a relevant and current IT certification, or related IT coursework. Last year, students accepted into this program had an average undergraduate GPA of 3.0. International applicants are not required to submit a TOEFL score and the program has a one-year retention rate of 76.82%.
