Winona State University’s online master’s degree program in social work provides students with a generalist curriculum with a trama-informed clinical social work concentration which allows students to gain employment in areas such as mental health, health care, child welfare, gerontological, and school social work. While there is no accelerated track, some students may be eligible for the advanced standing track if they already hold a bachelor’s degree in social work. A total of 60 credits and at least 1,000 hours of fieldwork is required to complete the traditional track, while 42 credit hours and 600 hours of fieldwork constitute the requirements for the advanced standing program. Winona State will consider applications submitted after March 13 as space permits.
