The University of Alabama’s online master’s degree program in social work allows students to focus in specialty areas of children, adolescents, and their families or adults and their families. Students must complete 1,000 field hours to graduate, while advanced standing students are required to complete 500 field hours to graduate. The fall application deadline is due on December 1 for priority consideration. Degree completion generally takes two years for students attending full-time, or one year for advanced standing students. Part-time options are available. Applicants wiith a GPA below 3.0 in last the 60 hours of a degree program must provide a GRE or MAT score.
