Students enrolled in Touro University’s hybrid master’s degree program in social work will first study an advanced generalist curriculum that prepares applicants for a social work career with specializations in aging populations, mental illness, or military social work. Touro University offers a 16-month accelerated track for the traditional program, which only accepts applicants in the spring. Further, some students may be eligible for the advanced standing track if they already hold a bachelor’s degree in social work. A total of at least 1,200 hours of fieldwork practicum is required to complete the traditional track and 65 credit hours are required. The advanced standing status has fewer requirements.
