St. Louis University’s online master’s degree program in social work provides students with a generalist foundation and advanced practice courses via specialization in either applied behavior analysis, clinical, or community and organization. There is no accelerated track offering, but students with a bachelor’s degree in social work from an accredited institution may be eligible to participate in the advanced standing option. Regular standing requires 48 or 57 credit hours (depending on the selected concentration), and advanced requires 30 credit hours. Those students with a bachelor’s degree in social work are eligible to receive up to 18 credit hours that may be applied to their MSW. There is a 900-hour fieldwork requirement for the traditional program and a 600-hour requirement for advanced standing. The application deadline for fall 2023 is August 1.
