Students enrolled in Northern Arizona University’s online master’s degree program in social work will study an advanced generalist coursework plan geared for practice with rural and Indigenous populations of the Southwest. Though there is no accelerated track offered, students may be eligible for the advanced standing track if they already hold a bachelor’s in social work, lessening the required 60 credit hours to 39 hours. A total of 900 hours of fieldwork practicum is required to complete the traditional track, and 450 hours are needed to complete the advanced standing track. Online advanced standing deadlines for spring is October 1 and February 24 for summer. The traditional program fall deadline is February 24 and the spring deadline is July 31.
