MSU’s online program option is restricted to those applicants who live more than 30 miles from the East Lansing campus or, if out of state, must live within 50 miles of the Michigan border. There is no accelerated track offering, but students with a bachelor’s of social work from an accredited institution may be eligible to participate in the advanced standing option. Regular standing requires 57 credit hours while advanced requires 36. There is a 960-hour fieldwork requirement for the traditional track program and a 500-hour requirement for the advanced standing option. Applications to MSU operate on a decentralized program and students are advised to contact the department for more information.
